History

D.A. Dodd opened its doors August 8th, 1995, in Rolling Prairie IN, with 6 office employees and 6 field employees. Licensed and bonded in both Indiana and Michigan, D.A. Dodd worked on mostly school renovation projects for the first 4 years, then expanded into Secondary Education, Healthcare, Industrial, and Gaming.
This expansion supported the company’s growth to open its second location in Benton Harbor, Michigan, in 1998 to service Industrial and Commercial customers. With increased demand for service in Central Indiana the third location in Lafayette, Indiana, was opened in 2001 for both service and contract. Then, Dodd’s fourth location in Mishawaka, Indiana, opened as a service hub serving customers throughout Michiana.
On April 7th, 2015, D.A. Dodd was acquired by Mno-Bmadsen, the non-gaming economic development enterprise of the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians. This acquisition represents their ongoing commitment to the region through diversified investments.
In 2018 the Lafayette location moved to a larger facility to incorporate a UA Certified Fabrication Facility, producing fabrication companywide.

I got through the early years on determination and work ethic. Early on I began hiring people who were smarter than me and within a short time there was not a job within the company that couldn’t be done better by someone else. The growth of D.A. Dodd was not limited by my shortcomings but pushed along by the skills and talents of the people I worked with. Many of those same people are managing the company or the job you are working on today.
