At the June Membership meeting for St. Joseph Valley PHCC/MCA, it was announced that our own Dave Siddall was named an Alternate on the Industrial Relations Council (IRC). Dave Frame, National PHCC President, made the appointment. The IRC for the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry was founded in the early 1950s. Its purpose is to provide an approved and orderly process to avoid strikes and lockouts and to settle grievances. The Council is made up of eight members and three alternates (one union, two contractors) whom their respective organizations appoint – the United Association of the Plumbers and Pipe Fitting Industry of the US and Canada, the Union Affiliated Contractors – Plumbing Heating and Cooling Contractors – National Association, and the Mechanical Contractors Association of America. The IRC prides itself on having members who are Business Managers and Signatory Contractors who have first-hand knowledge of the industry on its board.
Dave began his career with D.A. Dodd as an intern in 2011. While working at the company, he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2014 from Purdue University. Dave is active in many industry-related organizations. He is passionate about advancing the HVAC industry and helping others come up through its ranks. Following are the boards he is active on: Secretary of St. Joseph Valley PHCC/MCA, Trustee for 172 401k, President of PPPCANI Local 210 Contractors Association, Trustee for 210 401k, health, and welfare, Vice President of SMACNA South Bend Chapter Local 20 Contractors Association, Trustee for SMACNA Local 20 JATC South Bend, Trustee for SMACNA Local 20 JATC Indiana, and Advisory Board Committee Member for Purdue University Northwest.
Congratulations to Dave on this appointment!
