Celebrating Women in Construction

Our accounting, billing, collections, human resources, estimation, plumbing/pipefitting, project management, safety, service, sheet metal, and technology departments all have one thing in common: They are home to a group of strong, brilliant, and dedicated women who bring their best to each field.

At D.A. Dodd, we are committed to fostering a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion that puts people first, promotes employee development, and provides equal opportunities for success to all.

“Empowering women means trusting them” – Isabel Allende.

Through promotion of educational and referral programs, and partnerships with local and national industry organizations, our aim is not just to acknowledge, but to empower women in our industry for the future. Our organization is proud to have women leading at every level of our organization.

Earlier this year, D.A. Dodd announced their support for Indiana’s first WiMI (Women in Mechanical Industry) chapter. The national WiMI committee was established in 2018 by the Mechanical Contractor’s Association of America (MCAA) with a vision to become a champion for women in the mechanical industry. Indiana has become the 16th state in the US to establish a WiMI chapter, thanks to the collaboration between mechanical contractors across the state and the Mechanical Contractors Association of Indiana (MCAI).

This week is dedicated to celebrating the contributions of women in construction. We want to express our gratitude to the women of D.A. Dodd and throughout our industry for their exceptional leadership, hard work, and commitment to driving positive change.
